Each term Eden runs a short course aimed at people who are seeking to find out more about the Christian faith. On these courses you can learn who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him today.

Who are these courses for?

Explore is for anyone who has questions about Christianity, Jesus and the Bible – and who would like to find out answers to them. It doesn’t matter if you have never been in a church building, have just started coming to church, or if you’ve been going to church for years. Whatever your circumstances, if you would like to find out more about Christianity and what it means to be a Christian, then these courses are for you.

What goes on?

Each course meets once a week and usually runs for 6 or 7 weeks. Each week there is the chance to study the Bible together, discuss any questions you may have, and sometimes watch a short talk focusing on an aspect of Christian belief. There are group leaders who will help and do their best to answer your questions. The course is designed to give you a relaxed opportunity to find out what Christians believe. You are welcome to ask any question you like or simply sit back and listen to others ask them. Explore is open to all. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to sing, pray or read aloud.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve been going to church for years, or never picked up a Bible before, whether you’ve got a religion or none - everybody is very welcome.

How much does the course cost?

Nothing. All materials are provided.

When is the next course?

Our new Explore group will be starting on Tuesday 4th January 2022. This term we will be running the course People Who Met Jesus - finding out from the Bible what Jesus did and said when he met different individuals and groups, and how they responded. The course runs for five weeks on Tuesdays (4th January to 1st February), with each session taking place from 8.00-9:30pm at Eden Chapel.

The course dates may be seen on the calendar.

Would you like to come?
