Friday Impact
Friday Impact is Eden’s youth group for young people in years 7-9. In the summer term we are pleased to welcome year 6 children about to move up to secondary school to join us. We meet 8-9.30pm on Fridays during school term, and we do lots of fun social activities and games, and we also spend some time each week looking at what God has to say to us through the Bible.
The group has a great mix of young people from Eden and others, such as their friends, who have been invited along. All young people of the right age are welcome, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve been at church all your life or never before. We’d love to get to know you and have fun together.
Regular activities include chill out nights (table tennis, snooker, wii, board/card games), crafts, baking, unihoc and other active games. Annual events include a trip to London in May, punting in July and a weekend away with GAP (the 14-18s group) in Norfolk in October.
As well as enjoying our activities, we enjoy learning from God’s Word together. This term (autumn 2024) we are thinking about the book of Ephesians - how God has saved us through his amazing grace and calls us to live for him.
Sunday Impact
Years 7-9 also meet on Sundays in the church office during the second half of the 10.00 morning service at Eden. Do come along and join us! Ask one of the stewards and they will explain where to go. This term we are looking at the book of Daniel together and thinking about how Daniel and his friends lived for God in a culture that did its best to get them to worship other things.
